Libraries, amazingly built worlds, story-tellers, unconventional magic—This series is literally what dreams are made of. I felt transported reading Strange the Dreamer. The story is complex, and it is woven together so seamlessly—you know Laini Taylor had one heck of an outline when planning out the story.
The dynamics of the characters was believable and impressive. There were a few scenes written so surprisingly that they stuck with me. Taylor is an impressive writer and storyteller.
If you read YA fantasy, and especially if you write YA fantasy, you just have to read this series… even if you’re afraid of moths, which I am.
4.8/5 for each book and the series as a whole.
